Most of us want to do the right thing and achieve a lot in our life. However, some people have over expectation and also the pressure to be perfect all the time. So, when you get the urge to be perfect, go to somewhere quiet and meditate until the feeling goes away. It has been said that the root of perfectionism lies in low self- esteem. Also the mindset that ‘I’m not good enough’ and ‘people won’t like me unless…’ are some of the feelings that make some people strive for perfection and put over expectation on themselves. It’s a different matter to take pride in what you do, but not in order to be better than anyone else or in order to gain emotional control. So lower your expectations and know that no one is perfect. Furthermore live your life day by day and allow little things to make you happy.
